Legacy Marine Group - Accountant - Port Elizabeth (Perseverance)

The successful candidate will be responsible for the full operational, administrative and financial function in a medium sized Manufacturing and Engineering company located in Perseverance.

A deadline driven, methodical and logical approach to operational and accounting procedures and an ability to manage staff will secure this position which reports directly to the General Manager and the Financial Manager.

Essential Accounting and Operational Requirements

  • Full accounting function – debtors, creditors, cash book, statutory returns, stock and relevant monthly journal entries
  • Ability to interpret income statement and balance sheet and process relevant entries related to transactions
  • Preparation and variance analysis of monthly management accounts
  • Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Management of monthly stock counts and variance analysis
  • Management of procurement process in terms of mandate application and approved vendors
  • Management and reporting on cash flow
  • Tracking of profitability of individual projects
  • Good working knowledge of VAT 201 submissions and related SARS audit procedures
  • Good working knowledge of import and export requirements including documentation and INCO terms
  • Good working knowledge of credit risk, bank ratings, insurance and asset based financing

Sentratek Holdings - Storeman and Driver - Port Elizabeth


The Storeman and Driver will be responsible for maintaining stores and adhoc driving duties

Key Performance Areas

  • Responsible for receiving, storing, assembling, packing and/or unpacking of goods into and out of the STH stores.
  • Responsible for loading and unloading of delivery vehicles and or trucks.
  • Responsible for conducting weekly, monthly and adhoc stock taking and investigating variances.

Sentratek Holdings – Water Treatment Service Technician – Port Elizabeth

PORT ELIZABETH BASED

The Water Treatment Service Technician will be responsible for maintaining and repairing water treatment equipment. It will also include taking measurements of water quality and making adjustments to the chemicals used to make water potable and safe.

Key Performance Areas

  • Maintain and repair the treatment plant systems.
  • Inspect, service and repair components of the water treatment plant including water intakes, pipes, water storage vessels, chemical treatment equipment controls, circulation pumps, boilers, coolers and valves.
  • Prepare work orders for servicing and repairs.
  • Provide feedback to management through using effective communication channels.
  • Take responsibility for client requirements regarding water treatment sales.
  • Manage tasks set-out by management for client projects within prescribed deadlines.
  • Understanding of cost management principles, making sure no money is wasted on purchase of goods.
  • Basic understanding chemical stock management.
  • Develop new business opportunities on site, by “keeping eyes open” to opportunities.
  • Develop and implement personalised signage on clients premises.
  • Ensure all chemicals have spec sheets.
  • Keep clients dosing stations, Softener Plant etc. in good order, including clean and tidy
  • Always focus on customer service and satisfaction.
  • Ensure all Water tests & Reports are kept up to date daily / weekly.

The job purpose is to ensure that the Sentratek chemical and service offering to the client performs its intended function and meets or exceeds the quality and hygiene performance guarantees embodied in the supply contracts.

  • Build relationships with the Technical and QA managers of all major customer groups

Technical Requirements: 

  • The following minimum requirements are essential
  • A recognised trade diploma
  • Applicant must be experienced in the use of Guillotine and Bending Brake machines
